Quota Hunts

I'm semi retired and one of the reasons was I wanted more time to hunt in-State . I've occasionally done managed and Quota hunts before but this year I'm laying it on with applications. Hog Island, Merrimac Farms, Mattaponi, RAAP, North River and Lands End. I'd love insight from anyone who has hunted any of these.

btw we need to hunt together. Virginia has a 3 day late September black bear season, 26,27,28th this year. I have good knowledge of some public land areas where you'd have a decent chance of getting a shot

Also in Virginia you can place your 40 square inches of blaze orange/pink within arms reach when hunting in a stationary position. Helps a lot on stand to reduce being busted for movement.

Hey Fuzzy, it's a 100 square inches, not 40. That's 10" by 10" for the mathematically impaired. Or 5" by 20" for the innovator.
