Unit 34 big horn archery

Hi guys I have a cow tag unit 34 type 6. Any chance of finding any elk on the state land or blm around big horn. I'm worried about the altitude (7000-8000) seems a bit low for early septenber.
Any info is greatly appreciated and wish everybody good luck this year.

The elevation isn’t an issue, however, what the terrain is like at that elevation very well may be. If there’s food, water, and cover, odds are good you’ll find elk. If one or more of those factors are missing, odds will not be good. The wildcard will be if that favorable habitat is on public or private.

One of my old drivers was up there last week and seen several on the state land by hazelton.
