Contaminated deer?

Non-resident Maine hunter here. I saw a 2021 article about PFAS in the Fairfield area and the state telling hunters not to eat deer from that area. That sucks. Any word on surrounding areas? No warning with fish??

The state is still figuring it out… the waters in the area delineated on the state website, I’d steer clear from. They have rough ideas of where stuff was spread in the early 90s.
Two active studies going on right now sampling meat from deer and turkeys in central maine.
