Ok, since I’m gonna draw an elk tag was wondering who the best outfitters in Pa are. Need to be ready

I'm going to draw one too, so I'll be eager to see the responses.

I would most likely go with Elk County Outfitters. They ran into some legal trouble a few years ago with some guides but they would probably get my business. Trophy Rack Lodge and Quehanna Outfitters are two others that seem to have a good reputation.

You'd have to define outfitter Bill.A good number of them have guys driving around looking for elk.When they find what they're looking for,they call the guide you're with and go get it.It wouldn't be that hard to DIY with a little bit of scouting to find the foodplots and meadows where they're hanging out.I live on the bottom edge of the elk range and would be more than happy to pack an elk out for anyone pro bono with my horses.I've been contacted several times over the years but for some reason,people in Pa want you to drag them out lol.I'm not doing that.
