Black Bear kills pet donkey

In Columbia County, Town of Hudson a Black Bear killed a pet donkey. The owners, who reside off of Fish and Game Road, ran it off, and it then returned and was going towards a paddock where they kept 3 other donkeys. Columbia County, is not known for Black Bears. I have been there for my entire life, and have family that has been there since the 30's. Once in while a black Bear will meander through, walking over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge from Greene County, causing some havoc, but there has never been any sort of population.

It is getting more common to see bears here in Central NY ( 7M).
