All these problems with so few wolves, makes a guy wonder just how bad it will be after more are imported. It's going to get ugly.

Cattle may be the cheapest thing we can feed them. How much does an elk being eaten, that would have been available for hunter harvest, cost? At 20% success rate that's 5 tags, 5 people buying gas, hotel rooms, gear, maybe 1 or 2 hire an outfitter, meat processing, buying groceries, eating at restaurants, etc.

But, Glunt, you just don’t understand how much revenue will come pouring into the state by the “wildlife watchers” flocking to Colorado from around the world to see one of our cute and cuddly Colorado wolf puppies! And this wolf tourist revenue will be sustainable with no cost to our wonderful now “in-balance” wildlife resources! Win-WIN!

The wolf lovers have that angle covered as well…

You guys see that video of those 5 north Park wolves crossing the jackson county, county road in the middle of a sage basin? That frickin sage basin ecosystem will be so improved by wolves. Like right now, it just miles of sage, and 20 years from now, its going to be miles of sage. What an improvement of the ecosystem.

Yup, it’ll still be sagebrush. With no elk, deer, antelope, moose or anything else the wolves can kill, Steve… Hell, the wolves will either move or die.

Isle Royale is the perfect scientific proof. Left to their own devices, wolves will eat and inbreed themselves into extinction without man’s intervention.

I have Pronghorn hunted in that area and know there are a LOT of cattle, miles around. Easy pickens.
