Hit last night. Jumped and backed out. Called Chad McCoy who works with Shon Butler and found him this morning. Low 1 lung shot and obviously missed the heart

Arrow came out low on brisket and hit opposite leg

Right lung hit and bottom of lung was shredded and he went over a half mile . Lung cavity was full of blood and he finally bled out

Yes it is . Where we jumped him at night the next morning he went over 150 yds without a drop of blood then went uphill to a big oak flat. I don’t think I would have found it without a dog but dog followed his trail. In the past I would have done a grid search but honestly didn’t think he would’ve went uphill . I would have probably concentrated on the holler he was headed down before he turned uphill

Wow. I am surprised he made it that far. They are tough critters. Nice deer. I use to find some with my beagle bulldog mix when I was out walking her. Hard to beat a good dog.
