Things should start heating up after this front comes through on Halloween. Be safe, have fun and shoot straight.
Looks like another 70 degree sit all week in my area go figure ..... breakout the sun tan lotion...
Gotta love our new state park. Rules are quite specific. Pets must be physically restrained. Electronic collars don’t meet the requirements. Just had 3 doe and a 6 point come blowing by. Yellow lab hot on their trail.
Well, you got the heating up thing right, but only the Temps will be heating up, cause it is brutally warm!
Took a nice doe around 6pm. Third one to come by.
Congrats Bowbender! Didn’t see a deer yesterday.
Went out in evening after work , no deer sightings on the walk out in dark kicked some up...
I see some locals posting pictures of some nice bucks taken here in Lycoming County, I'm not seeing much though.
We (4 of us) were seeing non-shooter bucks here at the farm Saturday evening. One went past me at 5:45 then went up the entire length of the open hollow, into the woods, and past Nate 15 minutes later and 600 yards away. Bucks were chasing does too. The buck looked to me to be 2 and a half years old with heavy 22" main beams, a 17 inch spread, one up on the right side and little one inch brow tines. Strange.
Bucks are not chasing here in Lancaster just yet. At least where I am. Saw 10 doe together last evening. Some were this year's fawns. Have a few nice bucks checking scrapes on my cameras.
Saturday morning I got set up and locked in right at 7 am. At 7:45 saw a nice buck across the gas line. I called with the can to get his attention. He came across the gas line , made a scrape , licked the branches above. Then walked right in to 20 yds and I promptly put an arrow right through him. He piled up in sight 20 yds away. 7 points 17" spread
It pretty much rained here most of the morning and at noon it was still foggy. Should be OK out there this afternoon.
Nice buck.
Just got back in from a 6-11:30a sit in 5D. Hunting a property with somewhat good pressure but seeing three big target bucks. 10, 8 and a big 6. I do think they could be locked down s I saw the 6 last fri hanging with a doe. Hunted an inside corner near a cut corn field. Going back out soon. Hopefully rain holds off
I was only out for 30 minutes yesterday and came back in when it started to sprinkle for the second time. Saw a half rack buck and a doe, but no bears in the swamp. And at 5 AM, it is still raining here in 2D today. Supposed to stop at noon.
On stand in 5C, 72 degrees, November 1st, and we're still chasing mosquitoes ??? No rut activity, not a deer seen 2 days. Starting to sting burning time off for this heat and humidity.
3:30, no rain but sky is going back and forth between sunshine and black clouds. 62 degrees.
3:45 and its raining now.
No rain, just sunny hot 72 degrees and all the mosquitoes you can kill I. A day. I should have made a tee time today instead of this. Hunting In A tank top, shorts and a SPF 30. November?
At 6, had a doe barrel past me, 30 seconds later a buck following out of range, a tight high 8 point white rack. A nice wide 7 at dark I passed because he was young. Not terrible, cameras are starting to get active but not the big guys yet.
I did not see anything in the fog on the mountain this morning. I think I did hear the crash of two sets of antlers early however.
Based on recent surveillance photos I decided to sit the 10 - 2 today, seen 3 different bucks, one was checking a group of 3 does but bored quickly and went back the way he came. Sitting in 5D Tonight, and I will gladly pay you Tuesday for sunscreen today. This is without a doubt, brutal for November!
Cody shot a good buck for our area, even has a small third antler.
Cool deer! Congrat's. Was going to get in a tree tonight, but I just can't see any deer moving b4 dark on the cam's. Seems like morning stands might be better.
Very cool buck. Nice shootin'.
Was pretty foggy this morning , looks to be foggy again in the am tommrow, hunted Allegheny national forest today up in forest county , tionesta area... no bucks ... saw alot driving back in the dark....
Yeah, I think this heat has put a damper on the rutting activity.....................
VERY cool buck Gene! Tell Cody CONGRATS!
Another balmy day in 5C, not a deer seen in the woods. Thinking of getting a tee time this afternoon.
4 of us hunting a property in Armstrong county all saw at least a buck or two and a few does this morning. 2 guys went back in the afternoon and saw more does. Me and Ed had a nice sit but didn't see any deer until we went across the big field on the way back to the house (at least 2 bucks and 9 does).
I watched a small buck freshen a scrape and work a licking branch in my front yard just before dark tonight. Then he walked over to my 3D target and started molesting it- had to chase him off and put it in the garage! That’s why I usually keep it in there................. ;-)
Went out for a few hours and came back and he was still in the yard with a doe. Looked like he might be tending her..................
Saw a big boy and a small boy chasing the same doe tonight. They were on an all-out sprint. It's On!
The deer were on the move in Armstrong county this morning, including bucks chasing does, and sightings of big bucks that have only been moving at night.
Guys all saw deer moving here at the farm last evening, including a shooter buck at 5 PM out of stickbow range. Long sleeve t-shirt weather here.
This one was taken last week in the Pittsburgh area. I don't have any particulars other than that. I'm trying to find out who and where.
Congrats on the nice bucks. Saw a few small bucks poking around in the cover near my stand Saturday morning but no serious rutting activity. My brother was hunting with me a few hundred yards away and heard crazy chasing and grunting before first light.
Right time of year. Wrong temperature. Doesn’t look like much relief is coming any time soon either.

Patty scored her first buck last weekend. She knows how to pick them. 10 pt. She did need the help of a tracking dog, but she got it done!!!
Wow! Nice buck! Way to go Patty!
Congrats proud Mom and daughter. Way to go!!!
Congratulations on your first buck,Patty!
