I'm guessing that next election cycle Colorado will have a new initiative to reintroduce these lions (to the western slope of course) by 2028. Just have to extract some DNA and clone them.

The Beringia Museum in Whitehorse, Yukon is full of the ice age animals, including the American Lion. Would have been a great time to be a BIG game hunter with giant Short Nosed Bears, American Lions, Mammoths, Mastodons, 400# beavers, giant Bison, etc. Worth a few hour visit if you are ever up there.
