This season I had an early cool encounter with a healthy CT buck. I was on foot on an elevated position and had him the closest at 15 yards. We then played hide and seek for 5 minutes after which he strolled away to find a real doe. Go out today after the rain guys. The bucks are cruising now.

I cannot post any pictures on my initial post. Trying here again.
By the way, I used a Whitetail Deer Stalker Decoy attached to my bow to fool him. It works every time to either bring the deer in closer or make them indifferent to my approach.

@BBB - They did not move to NY. They are getting pulverized on the road. This fine 8 point buck got himself to close to a car this morning. Not much left of him, but the car looked worse, much worse. The driver had no personal physical damage.

Six, cool. Those pics look like September with all that green. You must be in Greenwich.
And hey, I will take that longer tether you and I spoke about. I can meet you whenever you have time. Thanks!

@Blood - Yes it was earlier in the season, first week in October. I saw him one more time after the first encounter. I think that is his core area. It is not Greenwich, but it is Fairfield county public land.
