Why can't an elderly guy in his mid 70s use one for late season archery

Deer hunting season should be set and not tweaked to accommodate social need or groups. If that is the way it's going it's a slippery slope to piss poor hunting for many not just a few especially so on public land. Age shouldn't be a factor in expanding kill opportunities. We have enough special reasons already in most of the mid west. I don't need or want crossbow and if that would the case it would be time to step aside.

I talked to MDNR today they explained why. The MUCC felt when deer migrate in heavy snows it would be easy pickens.....

If you have disability that prevents you from drawing a bow you can get an exemption that would allow you to hunt with an xbow during that time period.

Yes that's true. Class A disability or like you said, other reasons for exemptions I think the joke is, they are allowed for healthy young guys during regular seasons, but old guys can not during late season.

Comments above are viable, but neither hunts the UP.
