Managing the deer herds in illinios

I'm looking for your input on deer management. How would you do it. A lot of questions amount of permits, season lengths and types of weapons just for starters. I know deer are not that abundant in my part of the state compare to 10 years ago. I'm just trying to get the hunters to communicate.
