I recently acquired a lease in Southern Atchison county. I have hunted for a number of years in North Central KS but this is my first time in NEKS. I’m generally curious about the county and the community’s experience and knowledge there. Anything you think would be helpful would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you in advance. You won’t hurt my feelings so fire at will.

Are you near the Missouri River corridor?

No. I’m not. I’m more to the interior, west of the Missouri. Don’t want to share too much detail as to specific location for obvious reasons but not real close to the river.

I about hit a ~180 with my truck in Atchison County last fall. Granted, that could happen in any county…
