In 2022 I was able to get my wife involved with a recurve bow. It was fun, she enjoyed it, and it became something we did together (along with trips to the bow shop, or outdoor stores).
This year I'd like to do more shooting that is not in my backyard, and would like to include the wife. We split time between Concord and Cambridge, so driving north, south, or west is fine.
Do you all have a favorite group, league, club, etc, that you would recommend? She is still green with the trad bow but wants to get better. I'd like to stick with my hunting setup for now. But a trad and/or competition bow could be in my future.

Believe it’s Dana who posts the weekly shoots every week! Me and the wife will also be starting to shoot them this year!

The 3-D League for eastern MA is 'Tri-County'. Worcester area League is 'Safari.' West of that is 'Pioneer Valley'. I have the Safari dates, PV just got drawn last night and I'm waiting for results. Don't have Tri-County yet, or Tri-State (Berkshires.)

DR, I know a few guys that used to be regulars here now shoot Lunenburg, who has a good league I guess. Despite being like 5-8 miles from me, I have never been. But it sounds pretty good. It's not to far off route 2, so probably like 40-45' pending traffic if you are in Cambridge, and like 20-30 if you are in concord.

Uxbridge (Safari League) was one of the best I shot last year. A bit of travel time but worth the drive.

Woah woah. Shots fired. Sundays were a disaster last year. Hockey and soccer and dance class. This year we may have limited that to just hockey. Karate is during the week. And I may just have a new rig by then Arlow. I’ll have to break it in somehow.

Not sure where you live but a few clubs have their 3D courses set early so you can shoot Saturday or Sunday. Locally a few clubs shoot indoor 3-d during the winter months.

Granite state bow hunters has Massachusetts shoots. See schedule in link. I went to the one in South Fitchburg last Sunday and most of the people I saw there were shooting trad equipment.

The cool thing Nick is if you do a season of 3 D shoots in the league in your area you get to see a different club every week and then you can decide which one you like best if you want to join one.

I really enjoyed last year shooting 8-10 clubs before the season started . Nice people and nice clubs. I'm looking forward to this year hitting the clubs i missed last summer. Im going to get a single pin for it this year. Low light early morning , bin blurr and odd distances seems to be a better single pin application.

"Low light early morning..." I warn guys who show up at my club early, might be better shooting the second loop first. Couple of _dark_ tunnels on the first half. This is what 'experience' can teach ya ;-)
