Doe with milk

Since I didn't fill any tags during archery season this year, I picked up the 30-06 to put some venison in my freezer during the late anterless season. I shot a large doe yesterday morning. She was with what apparently was a large fawn. At first I thought they were two does. That's how big the fawn was. Anyway, when I field dressed her she still had milk. Has anyone else seen this, a doe with an apparently large fawn, still producing milk this time of year? Over the years I have field dressed quit a few does in January, but this was a first for me.
