Well tonight was my 3rd stand of my coyote season… sat in one of my favorite deer stands where I always see coyotes . Started off with young rat distress for 2 minutes on 9 volume … paused for 30 second then switched to young grey squirrel distress on 11. I turned it on and about 30 seconds in I hear a stick snap in the thicket to my rite . I look and 2 beautiful coyotes are sneaking out of the cover at 50 yards . One stays behind the brush while the other tried to circle down wind .. I got a slight opening in the thick stuff and let the 270 bark ! BOOM ONE DOWN … other one takes off . I switch to pup distress screams for 2 minutes never came back. I was really in this spot for a bobcat so I kept calling , went through several rabbit sounds and went to finch distress on 18 . Nothing then I switched to lucky bird . 45 seconds of lucky bird I see a different coyote come up over the ridge at90 yards . I turn the scope to 9 put the scope on him but he gets into some brush. I quickly turn the call down to 10 and wait for him to come out the other side of the pricker… he never comes out . So after two minutes or so I switch to pup distress 3 and 30 seconds in that same coyote pops out of the thicket 30 yards behind me on the move fast . I swung up found an opening and boooom. Big cloud of steam and big ball of fur fly off , dog hits the ground rolls around and gets up and runs off … I followed some blood about 50 yrds on my hands in kneees threw the pricker thicket to a dug out hole under the roots of a blow down. I sure as hell wasn’t going in there for it … but either way that’s 2 coyotes down and 3 called in . I know the third coyote was a different one because the first two were blonde as hell. What an awesome hunt!

I haven’t shot anything but coyotes with it yet but on almost all coyotes you just get a pen size hole through both sides . If you hit shoulder sometime you get a blow out
