Curious about how lithium batteries on Ebikes work in cold weather? Both for charging and performance? Thanks

There is a degradation, no doubt. Lots of variables involved, so try some different situations knowing it won't be the same as summer riding.

I would guess it would be fine during bow hunting season. It's not that cold in September. If you are talking sub zero temps, I don't know. I put my drill batteries in a small cooler with a hand warmer when ice fishing. Keeps them in good condition.

I believe they make a neoprene cover for ebike batteries that could accommodate a hand warmer or two. That’s what I would do.

But I just use my snowmobile in cold weather

You don't want to charge them when the battery temp is below 40, I believe. Need to check with the battery manufacturer. I've used mine in sub-freezing temps in hunts, but never rode far enough to determine e whether the capacity was reduced by a significant amount.
