Illinois free upland game permits?

Does anyone have experience using this opportunity in Illinois? Just wondering what other's experience has been. It's got me wondering because I have never had problems getting permits here in Illinois. With a little planning I've been able to hunt public land, no problem. Thanks. Oh. BTW. This is my first post here.

I get one every year for Dewitt co. I just have to fill it out and print it. did you apply for a place that only has a select amount?
