In the Gazette Mail today there is an article that says that WV leads the nation in number of deer killed on the road. It said that from Jan. 1 to Nov. 20, 10,618 (yes, that's not a typo on my part) deer have been hit on the roads of our state along with 15 bears and numerous other critters. That's a bunch of deer if that figure is correct.

Crazy numbers. I guess that explains our high auto insurance premiums, huh?

I’d like to know the number of deer killed by poachers. Guess we will never know that. And the auto kill number is just the ones reported

The road kill numbers don’t even count the deer from Nov 21 to Dec 31.
