I'm finished hunting for the season. My feeling is, if a deer makes it this far, it's getting a pass from me.

It was a slow year for me. I came close a couple of times, but no cigar.

I'm retired, and I spent a lot of time golfing with my wife, and I did a lot of fishing. Cross country meets for one granddaughter, gymnastics competitions for another granddaughter, flew out to California in November to welcome granddaughter number five.. It was a very busy Fall.

Life is good.

Congratulations to everyone that had a successful season. Well done.

Hopefully there is safe ice, if not, I'll be on my boat.

Next up.. turkeys. And the cycle continues.

My target Buck shed on last Friday evening 20 feet from where I park my truck in the field.

1500 acres of huge woods and he drops them together in the field I hunt for him. I have pics from last Year so I'm saying he's no younger than 4.5 years old.

Rough scored him with an 18" inside at 145"

I bet farmer will be happy you found them, tractor tires are expensive. Nice set. I've still never found a matching set.

Bwhnt, My daughter also agreed with you.

The farmers son showed up and said the same thing about the tractor tires. $$$

CTBobcat - lots of mass, not much tine length (4", 6" 7", & 8") but so symmetrical. I believe the beams were 23-24" long - doesn't take much to get to 140" on a mature 10 pt.

I’m out duck hunting until I head back to MI. Maybe I’ll get in the deer woods in zone 12 if a monster shows on camera. Speaking of… you all should follow the university of Michigan's duck unlimited page on Instagram. The handle is ducksatum … I’m the president over there now.

We shot this banded black duck in CT yesterday. Came from Quebec Canada!!! Pretty neat. First banded bird in CT for me. Figured you all would enjoy the conservation story of this guy.
