Am I Reading Draw Stats Right????

2023 Iowa NR draw stat’s are pictured. See Zone 5 Bow….if quota and # of applications were to mostly stay the same and consistently put in each year for the draw and not miss any years…..it should take a Non-resident approx. 3 yrs. to draw a deer permit for bow? I had always heard 5-6 yrs. Anybody with first hand knowledge able to confirm?

Nobody with 4 or less points drew which means it takes 5 years minimum to draw

Since you need 5 points going into the draw you wouldn't actually draw until your 6th application.
If you're planning to hunt zone 5 and just starting now, I would plan on needing 7 or 8 points by the time you catch up with point creep and draw a tag.
