Here we go. In MN now you have to retreat before branishing or utilizing a weapon to defend yourself (a God given right).

So as the victim, you now need to be stabbed or shot before you can do anything other than scampering away.
I'm old and fat, I don't move very fast.
Open carry is legal in MN with a carry permit. So I also wonder how this works into the "brandishing" aspect of the ruling.
