He said he is 36 so maybe a Google search of his name and state will reveal if he is a real 36 year old person under the name he gave us. I did the last one from the troll who said he was a teacher at the university of NH and I posted a link to the search engine for the faculty directory. I tried a new approach and he went poof before we could all opine.

I've always advocated the approach that in order to discuss a topic one needs a good grasp of the facts related to that topic.

With that in mind let's review the "facts" you have presented this forum with so far:

1. Sometime "last year" you happened upon the Bowsite, a forum for bowhunters.

2. You happened upon the Big Game forum, read for awhile but decided there were no topics of interest to you for various reasons.

3. You proceeded on to the Community Forum and finding 1 or 2 topics you were interested in chose to post on those threads.

How am I doing so far?

OK, with those "facts" in hand there are a few questions in my mind and I hope you'll bear with me on them for awhile:

1. As you mentioned when questioned about happening upon the Community Forum "When you click on "Forums" at the top of the page it says right there "Community Forum". How hard is that to find?"

Now the Big Game Forum is the first bar listed scrolling from top to bottom and the Community Forum is the third bar down. Right in between them at #2 from top to bottom is "State & Regional".

Do you mean to tell us that you didn't think there might be anything of interest to a Wisconsin bowhunter on the Wisconsin state forum? Nothing at all?

Did you simply forget to mention that you did surf the state forum and found nothing of interest there? I mean I can relate to not hunting Africa or to some extent elk but what about Wisconsin deer hunting? Wisconsin turkey hunting? Game regulations under discussion; you know, the regulations that could directly affect you, a bowhunter?

Are you telling us that "since last year" you couldn't find anything of interest relating to bowhunting in the state you, a bowhunter, reside in?

2. You've been around "since last year", reading threads and despite hundreds of threads directly about or strongly related to the topics you posted on today you've never once posted on even one of them before today?

On the CF, it's not possible to be a troll after you've been here a few weeks.

Take a moment and consider that last quote I separated from the group. If you have read along as you said then you should be well aware of what constitutes a troll on this site.

Take notice that 'you' say you have been reading along for a while now so you should also be aware of the rash of "trolls that the site has been plagued with in the recent months. Take notice of the tone you have used and give some thought to the fact that you are new here and the other posters are weary of new posters at 1st. They are even more suspicious when their appearance coincides with a recent vaporization.

Consider the entire picture and maybe reevaluate your approach and tone when questioned.

I just moved back to NM from Wisconsin. If you go to the search feature in the upper right hand corner of the "Home Page" and type the word archives then hit enter. Look just below the main search bar and you'll see a tab called "user handles". Type in the name of the user you want to follow and you'll see who's been around.

Although I only see threads with my handle in them going back to 2008, I guarantee there are some going back as far as 2001 since that's when I moved to Wisconsin. Before that I began as a New Mexico site participant, and if we could find the records I'd be willing to bet they go back to AT LEAST 1995-96. Maybe even earlier, but I don't remember when I started here. It's been a while and I had a different handle for my first year or two as a rookie. Of course back then, I cut my teeth in the State forum and learned a butt-load of good info from the best of the best when it comes bowhunting. After that I moved to the community forum and use it more than the state forum.

I didn't feel comfortable getting into CF debates with guys I didn't know as I didn't want to look like an over zealous blow hard, and, more importantly, I didn't want to be rude in a place that I wasn't well known.

Your approach has done just that...makes you look rude. Do you walk into a party with people you've never met and start throwing your nuts around, or do you stay humble, introduce yourself, establish a social repore, and address your new friends with a basic level of respect that you would like to have in return??

In July 2011, we posted the story of Cass Sunstein and his plan to “nudge” opponents on the Internet for the sake of the common good as to be determined by him and like-minded people. His plan was clearly unethical and an egregious violation of Internet freedom.

Sunstein’s “nudge” theory is called “libertarian paternalism.” In 2008, while at Harvard Law School, Salon.com reported that Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. Government – and other leftist groups – employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-”independent” advocates to “cognitively infiltrate” online groups, social media, chat rooms, real-space groups, and websites which advocate views that Sunstein deems “false conspiracy theories” about the Government.

If two Democratic lawmakers have their way, Barack Obama’s Justice Department will submit a report for action against any Internet sites, broadcast, cable television or radio shows determined to be advocating or encouraging “violent acts.”

This according to the text of a new bill from Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 “would create an updated comprehensive report examining the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation and create recommendations to address such crimes,” stated a news release from Markey’s office.

The one-page bill, reviewed by WND, calls for the Justice Department and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights to “analyze information on the use of telecommunications, including the Internet, broadcast television and radio, cable television, public access television, commercial mobile services, and other electronic media, to advocate and encourage violent acts and the commission of crimes of hate.”

The bill does not define which actions by broadcasters would be considered to have encouraged violence, seemingly leaving that open to interpretation.

Once the report is compiled, the bill calls for “any recommendations” for action “consistent with the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States” that is determined to be an “appropriate and necessary” way to address the purported encouragement of violent acts.

The Boston Herald took issue with the bill, calling it “frankly chilling” that Markey is seeking to “empower an obscure federal agency to begin scouring the Internet, TV and radio for speech it finds threatening.”

“Perhaps he could crack a briefing book on the crisis in Ukraine rather than looking for his own extra-constitutional methods of punishing speech he finds unacceptable,” added the Herald editorial.

This forum is part of the bowsite, a hunting/archery related site, the CF is for members to express opinions outside of those interests. 99.9% of all members come to this site for archery/hunting information and that is where 99.9% of them post before wondering over here. On the other hand dishonest Organizing For America Faux Archery Hunters come directly to the CF to spout off Dear Leaders claptrap, you have made a good start.

You want to be taken serious,actively participate on the other forums.

Your efforts are admirable but may be falling on deaf ears.

I have found that the regular CF contributors are generally intelligent, articulate, fair-minded guys and girls who welcome new folks and new viewpoints, but absolutely reject arrogance and disrespect. They usually are tolerant when new folks make mistakes, but an arrogant name-caller will never be accepted long term.

Being a respected member of this forum requires intelligent, well thought out posts that reflect a desire to contribute to the conversation in a positive manner. Some find it easy, others grow into it, but a few never get there and never will.

Let me close my time on this tread with this since you were wondering about how people are treated.... 1 you are new and right of the bat are defending someone new which is very different from what I have seen in the past by a new guy. Never saw that before on this site to date but that could just mean you're a good guy. I hope so.

Now, When a new guy shows up now I click his handle and you can see his name and state he used at registration. Then if they seem odd or trollish I Google the name and state together to see if they are a real person in the state they claim they are from. In the last few months only 1 or 2 of the 20 new people were actual people that existed in the state they claimed as their own and after a short time their behavior saw them banned from the site.

Now it may not be scientific and it may not be totally accurate to use Goggle in that fashion just to quickly see if the name actually exist but unless the person is a ghost at least their name shows up almost every time.

Some trolls in the past have been banned because they looked people up like a P.I. and did in depth searches based on the info they accumulated over time and then posted it all and threatened the person they disagreed with.

Be careful how much info you share on an open board because a troll might try to get ya at some point..

at least you acknowledge that google isn't always accurate when trying to find someone. My name for example pulls up the manager of the Australian airport. and it wont show much because Max is a shortened version of my name, which isn't against the rules, as far as I know.

Give it up man. You are not yet booted by the mods (I know not why), but you have sealed your doom among the decent members here.

This is a forgiving, live-and-let-live bunch, but you may not be able to get a fresh start now even if you wanted to.

It's pretty clear you're not wanted here by the overwhelming majority. You embarrass yourself further every time you post. You are unable, or more likely, unwilling to respond to pretty much every question asked of you and every challenge put to you. You get outraged for being called a troll, which means nothing more than 'a temporary annoyance' on the CF, but have no problem at all in accusing someone of being a willing participant in the mass murder of over 6,000,000 people.

I use it to see if someone is a real person. I would never investigate past knowing if they are real because I could really care less about what they are only that they are real. However the trolls will and have gone way past that when they get pissy with someone.

We just had a guy banned that did just that. He put up stuff about another members son and then said he could have posted his phone number and work place and address etc...

The reason Bowsite requires you use your real name is for accountability but if another person abuses that they will get popped but not before they do damage.

I don't honestly know anyone here (that wasn't a troll, did not have ulterior motives,) that ever posted on the CF for his/her very first time, all migrated from the regular or state. There will be scrutiny as to your real goals for being here.

Essentially come straight in and do nothing but insult the members. Hack on Palin and women in general. A few other well placed insults.... and seemingly have no idea of what the definition of an internet troll is. Clue: it's not the guys who have been here for years and years.

You may be legit. Who knows. Most of the seminar posters of late (and there have been a bunch of them) started off slowly, lied their azzes off about who they were, their names and backgrounds) but eventually all couldn't hide who they really were for long. Maybe this is a new approach, trying to win the crowd by insulting anyone and everyone and think it will get you somewhere. I don't know.

I'm going to try and see if we can move off this spot we're all stuck on and start fresh. To try and accomplish this I'd like to start with providing some context.

In the space of about 3 months the CF was visited by not 1 or 2, not 3 or 4 but by at least 10 iterations of a person who came solely to toss around as many insults and as much abuse as was humanly possible.

An iteration would get banned and like clockwork within a week a new one would pop up and toss out insults for all. Nothing was out of bounds and decency was the first casualty of this internet war.

Version 10 got the boot and within minutes (and on the same thread) a new poster arrives and makes a perfectly innocent jest, but at what had been the topic of ridicule by the latest tool; timing in this case, was everything.

I understand your feelings about unjust treatment and why you question the need to be respectful when you have been continually disrepected, in your opinion.

Respectfully, I think some of us need to consider it from your perspective; if in your mind you've done nothing wrong yet you get treated to a village pummeling, how would you (or I) react?

So with that in mind I will say that you have been wronged from the get-go. Here is where I think you and I may diverge, and I think in fairness to you, that may be more a reflection of a few year's more time on earth on our part than any character defect on yours.

You do not "bow down", "kiss the ring" or any engage in any other demeaning or emasculating act when you ask a simple question when confronted thusly; "What exactly is it you think I've done to warrant this treatment?"

Shame on anyone who can't answer an honest question honestly-state the reason and allow a misconception to be put to rest by all parties involved-period.

I think the saddest aspect of this thread is that things got so far out of hand that it almost seems like it's an impossible thought that all of us could take a collective step back and admit to having some portion of blame for this mess.

But please consider for a moment that your firing back was an exact mirroring of some of those who unlike you, did not come to contribute, but came solely to disrespect and demean. Unknowingly, you fed the beast and again that's unfortunate, because I don't doubt you felt you had done nothing to warrant the treatment you were given and the return fire was warranted.

Sometimes people have to learn to meet each other half-way.

My hand is out; take it in the spirit it is offered or not, your choice. I don't offer it because of any preconceived notion that you need my "seal of approval"; it's offered honestly and with respect.

I think you may be surprised to find in time you've got a lot more in common with some here than you might think now. I've found a lot of character here and a lot of people worthy of respect.

Most legit new guys try to stay away from confrontation right off the bat and not get into the middle of it.

You MUST understand that the CF has had a HUGE problem with new guys the last 4 or 5 months. They pop in and go extreme and are outrageous. Sometimes the cuss like a drunken sailor and it takes a day or so to get rid of them. They flame and get personal and because of the rules they violate they go poof! The mods will not ban or suspend someone for 30 days or ban them permanently for no reason at all.

This guy seems to think he played no roll in his treatment right off the bat but he did and then he became increasingly argumentative and bold rather than using a line like 'I understand now but'. Your sudden arrival that corresponds with all this makes it more suspicious for others. Can you blame them after the repeated explanations on what has happened her lately?

A little understanding by all can be helpful but the new guys don't want to hear it at all so it will likely not change.

I learned to be just a little more careful before calling a newbie out as the latest incarnation of BenG, Mavery, pennylane, PaulZ, ad nauseum, even thought I'm still not convinced BH wasn't the same guy.

I also learned I've got a lot of very good friends here who quickly stood up for me when I was under a brutal, vile, and malicious assault for no reason other than daring to call out BH as a troll, even though many others here did the same thing.

Thanks to all of you who did that, gents!

I also learned, or rather, had reaffirmed, that the Bowsite moderators will always do the right thing.

I absolutely did use the Alert Editor button to point to BH's use of the "Jew Star" accusation, as well I should have. I suspect several others did the same and for the same reason.

But to your great disappointment, all that does, at best, is speed up the process of having the moderators look at a post. ALL posts on ALL threads are read by a moderator, no matter if they get an Alert Editor notice or not.

Sorry to shoot down your theory, Jason, but the moderators and only the moderators decide if a post should be removed and if a poster should be poofed.

Your ideas of what is or is not acceptable behavior on the CF is obviously far different from Pat's and from mine.

Seems like the editors saw better to remove what appeared to be the root cause rather than closing this thread as a number of people had tried to bring all back to a level of civility and were unsuccessful.

It's Spring and we have had a number of obvious pop-up trolls whose only intent is to reek havoc and not promote discussion. Think this has made many very sensitive to someone who has never had a presence on any of the Bowsite's forums with posts aimed at starting some sort of controversy.

Many sites use standard templates and often have a section where new people can introduce themselves. Pat created this site himself, so we only get to know one another by posting content...which over a period of time allows most of us to know who the players are. We've had many people join this form over the years who never achieve "troll" status and have contrary views on many topics.

But a newbie that comes on and immediately starts posting in the manner seen here raises the red flag of trolldom. There are ways to disagree without being abusive. In BH's case, he obviously had never spent much time reading this forum before posting for the simple fact in the way he used the word "troll" in his responses. He threw that term around indiscriminately tagging many who are far from such.

I have often said that the biggest problem people have when it comes to the Internet is the lack of ability to self edit. I think Pat realizes that too because he has given the ability to not only clear an entry that one has written, but also to go back and edit what one says.

I have shared a little list of rules with some of my CF friends that help deal with trolls and disrespectful comments. Rule 1: IGNORE

If one does not feed a troll, they get no gratification and go away.

'Sara' (BenG, Mavery, pennylane), who has been a cancer on the CF for six months, had been tossed not more than an hour earlier. BH walked in and in his very first two posts, posted exactly the same sort of offensive and unwarranted crap 'sara' had been posting since November. A quick search showed no mention ever of a 'BowHolder,' which only confirmed our suspicions.

As a result, there was little if any reason to believe he wasn't 'sara', BenG, et.al. I'm still not totally convinced he was not, but I certainly could be wrong on that.

For starters, try getting your facts straight.

His first post was to attack Sarah Palin, writing:

So right off the bat, you've lost any credibility you might have had.

I've been here a lot longer than most of you. I first joined this group back in the '90s sometime. Check my posting history if you're so inclined. In fact, the posting history doesn't even show it all, (I think I had to re register sometime and lost some.) The only thread I ever started was zapped a few years after we started it due to some whining on the LW.

The point I want to make is I found the community forum within a day or 2 of joining. I have done a lot more posting here than on Bowsite, or even the Leatherwall where I started. So be careful passing judgement just because someone came to the CF soon after registering. Maybe Bowholder was a reincarnation, maybe not, doesn't really matter. Give the trolls, or the obnoxious others enough time and they'll invoke the poof penalty upon themselves soon enough if they deserve it.

Man I miss Tennbow, and several other of the oldtimers. Shoot, I even miss the old GeneJockey, he at least could put together a good logical argument even if he was usually wrong. ;) His last few appearances here sure sounded different than they used to.

1st off I have only ever reported 1 or 2 people ever and I certainly did not have a single thing to do with BH own demise. Who ever or even if many reported him it is the mods choice if it is valid or not.

I originally gave him a way out and a way to understand and back off the gas and he would not take it and stared calling me a troll.

I even joked with him a bit in that post to ensure it would not get even hotter and he then rejected the advice and said he wanted to 'slap me and called me a troll.' After that I still tried to explain his odd arrival but with much less concern for him' It was at this point he started using the smiley face to make it clear he was joking. Before that he did not do so. He even apologized to me for missing it that I was joking about the liberal thing but then kept at it.

The difference was I actually read this site for over a year before joining. BH said he did the same so obviously it was not true. When you come here and claim you read along for that long and then step in it over and over then anyone with a brain knows what they said was not true IMO.

Now we recently saw a member poofed for his actions and multiple memberships of which one was an admitted fake person. This happened very recently and he just re-registered against forum rules after just 1 week away. This guy had the stones to post in one of my threads on the BGF even though he knows I am resistant to his kind of posting style. I did not report it because I am not a petty person that way and his post was not negative so I figured there's no point. However, it does aggravate me that I had enough respect for the rules to wait my time out and get back on in a legit way and used the same handle while others go poof and come right back against the rules over and over.

Some come back even though they have been banned for good and others refuse to wait out their time and that just is not right. The mods do not realize it because they cannot check every registration that's made.

Rules are rules and everyone should follow them and if they go poof they should stay away unless their poof is a temporary one. Ones that are not temporary are the ones that come back under a different handle that most do not recognize. If they came back under the same handle and the ban was permanent they would go poof right away and they know it so they change their handle.

Sorry for the rant but it just aint right to keep coming back over and over just to inflict chaos.

I don't think I alerted the moderators over his 'Sarah' post. If I did, it would only have been because he looked exactly like 'sara/BenG/mavery, et.al., not because he crapped on Sarah.

Hey all, I think a lot of what transpired the past few days here can be chalked up to an unfortunate convergence of events; first, we have been beseiged since the end of last year with a persistent irritant. As a result of how those versions entered into the community there has been a heightened sensitivity to politically-themed threads started on the CF by first-time posters.

Nine months ago no one might have batted an eye (unless the post was a hatchet job on Conservatives or a Conservative icon) but after a steady diet of trolls the we are on DefCon 2 and a few ICBM's were pre-emptively launched.

It's easy to pontificate about where this thread could have been corraled or who could have done what; the moment is lost and all we can try to do going forward is learn from this.

I think unless someone is obviously trying to be disruptive every new poster has got to be given the benefit of the doubt. A lot of us have been around long enough to know the "true trolls" can only hide for so long and then they blow a breaker and start spewing pages right out of the dailyKOS or something similar.

I think we can allow that progression to occur and ferret out the real weasels. If we happen to get a few new posters who happen to stroll the other side of the political street, so what? If you believe your point of view or your political leanings are the path to follow view the challenge(s) as an opportunity to make your case, maybe even to enlighten.

We've got a great thing here and there's a helluva lot of class, character and dignity to keep this ship on course. Let's all do our level best to toss in a dollop or two of humility every so often.

I can speak from early on experience that it is easy to latch on to someone who pissed you off but usually that takes a while to get to that point and eventually it falls away. This guy seemed to take being called a troll at great exception and he then just would not let it go after so many explained it.

I am sure he is reading this still and if he is legit he can come back and hopefully if that's allowed by the mods and he is NOT a troll he should use a new handle so he has a fresh start.

I just wanted to toss my two cents back in. For what it's worth, I attempted to offer my perspective to BowHolder. I certainly did not attack him and, quite frankly, have difficulty reconciling the term "attacked" with being accused of being a troll. I'm pretty certain that any time that I have stated that I've been attacked, there was a degree of my bleeding that had occurred. And I still didn't refer to it as being bullied. Because I'm not a fourth grader.

I would challenge any of you to toss out the most disgusting pejorative you could imagine and apply it to me. How do you suppose that's going to impact me if it's off base? I can tell you, not in the slightest. The only thing that would be effected would be my perception of you.

Nonetheless, I attempted to approach the conversation with some good natured humor and self depreciation. Because that's who I am.

I pointed out that I felt that, if he just took a deep breath and considered things, he might rethink his assessment and realize that Kyle is a decent guy. Because that has been my personal experience. Not because I'm some obsequious minion, fawning sycophant or "part of the clique of little girls".

I don't think offering your opinion of a man's character makes you a "fanboy". No one needs to get all giddy and mushy, but it's not necessary to save it all for the eulogy.

At the same time, I have no problem calling things the way I see them to the contrary. Perhaps privately, but directly. Because that's who I am.

I had some issues at work coincide with BowHolder touching on something that got my ire up. I made a fairly snarly post that I shortly thereafter edited out of existence. Because I felt that it would have no impact other than to reflect poorly on me.

Because I'm wired differently than BowHolder and others like him, I don't feel as though I'm entitled to respect. As each new day dawns, I feel as though I need to earn the respect of the guy in the mirror, my family, friends and even the guys here. I don't think respect is a party favor, something you get for showing up.

And though name-calling is somewhat pedantic, I have to laugh a bit. My wife calls me worse things than "troll" while we're having sex. My feelings have yet to be bruised.

No one owns these forums. Anyone can post as they see fit. They may get challenged, but they choose how to present themselves and respond. I do not think BowHolder represented himself well.

I offer the assessment that he was an overly sensitive, overly indignant whiner whether or not he was a troll or the troll.

Personally, I think while a couple of the recent troll infestations may have come back a second or a third time... I think it's more than likely several people. And their motives are to defend liberal/leftists and influence conservative forums such as this. They copy and paste like they are going down a cold call sales pitch. They lie about who they are and most of all why they were here. IMO it's not just one or two guys that keep coming back over and over.

They are on a mission. An assignment from their group. They find us while doing a search for a few key words and phrases, they are not hunters much less bowhunters. And the little liars have no moral sense or code of conduct, no right or wrong, just their "cause" they are caught up in. It helps ease the pain caused by two of the most powerful emotions of man, fear and guilt. Those are the emotions that drive them. The "cause" alleviates some of their pain. Sad little lives.

It's not, if you know where to look, and are looking for it. How many people get on a bowhunting site, only to go looking for a place to discuss current events and politics? Most of us wound up here, we didn't start here.

Tony, you're right, I befriended a couple of good ole boys that hunt hogs. They've given me some of the meat but its not really my bag and its kind of tough to do the butchering, etc on a boat. I do some bowfishing for dinner sometimes and most of the time for fun.

Just curious because SC has over 1 million deer and MI has about 1.3 million and wayyyyyy more hunters. Last year hunters killed over 250,000 deer in SC.

Head down and dock in Beaufort so you can hunt that area which is one of the better deer density counties according to harvest maps and density maps or head up to Allendale or Hampton counties right next door and have at it. Great hunting in some areas of SC if you go.

Bring a rope with you and hang the deer or hog from a tree. Most deer I kill are quartered up and hung in the fridge for a few days before I take out one quarter at a time and cut it up on a small table and wrap and freeze it. I see a table on your boat so you can do it if you really want to.

Outside shot of the starboard side of the boat looks like tinted slider windows with a curtain like what's on newer boats and RV's and the inside pic of the same starboard side shows hand crank windows that are much shorter. Obviously the pic was prior to you installing the AC.

How much did that cost you to increase the opening size and change the windows out to the modern style? I bet it was not cheap unless you did it yourself.

You confused me. The interior pic looks to show a set of outside windows with cranks at the very rear of the starboard side beside the bed. It looks like their is a closet under them. The outside pic shows a tall window also in the same location but they are different window styles to that of the inside. The outside pic shows a tinted sliding window or a fixed window that cannot be opened but the inside pic clearly shows a set of crank open windows in the same spot. Did you change them out or something or alter them in some way because it would be weird to have a crank open window on the inside and a slider or permanent window on the outside that lets light into the closet and it would be weirder if you could not get to that outside tinted window. What do those crank open windows open up into?

On a side note. Piece of advice. It looks like the pic from the outside shows teak wood on the rear bottom deck between the motor and the sliding doors but the inside pic looks like it is now been painted white or replaced with white decking. If you painted it you will fall on your azz when it gets wet. Been there done that. Please tell me you did not paint it?

Also why did you have to change the back deck rail? They are two different style railings from outside pic to inside pic from what I see. I bet that cost big money to do that. Was it damaged or rusted? What did you run into?

You noticed that cover difference from the inside view also eh? I grew up around Merc outboard motors so I was thinking the same thing but did not want to insinuate he was lying because maybe he changed the motor from the newer one to the old style.

Now that I have looked real close he would need a boat stretcher to make the boat wider also to account for the difference on why the white AC edge (should be brown according to the outside pic) is so close to the door wall edge when on the outside pic it is at least 24 inches away. Look at the 6" deck boards and you can see the outside back portside wall next to the door is almost 2 times as wide as the one on his inside pic. The translucent panels are 12 inches wide and there are only 2 between the outside wall and the door. Add for wall thickness and the door jam and you have no more that 32 inches tops. The outside pic shows that wall is at least 48 inches wide if not more.

Now I am thinking something is up with this guy. I already knew it but was trying to leave open the possibility he was legit even though I knew better. As soon as the questions got difficult his tummy dropped and he gasped and said I am outta here. I guess its all how you word things.

All I did was right click the picture and then click on search google for picture. I'm not kidding about it has to be easy for me to do it. Which means either they don't have a very high opinion of us, or they really are not very bright to post something so easy to trace.

What astounds me is the warped logic of the situation. max was certainly aware of the fact that he did not live a casual carefree lifestyle on his $40,000 1996 houseboat, part time roadie for Jimmy Buffet, after moving on from an unfulfilling career in the financial industry, accompanied by his dog after his no good, cheating wife incident, and all of these serious, imaginary life changes occurred this past imaginary month, concurrent with his lovely imaginary trip to the South of France where he and his imaginary, lovely, no good cheating imaginary wife snacked on chocolate croissants and contemplated eating their fingers.

As I said, max knows that all of this is baloney. What does he get out of passing it to us? What's the point of the con? It's not like he's inflating his resume to get a job or inflating his title or bank account with a chick at a bar. Motive is clear there.

It can't be that the fraud makes him feel better. That'd be counterproductive. I could post up fake pictures of a nice house, claiming that it's mine and maybe someone would be impressed. So what? I maybe impress someone somewhere with a lie and when I get a compliment on my "house", I can think about how I live in a dump and I'm a lying sack too?

Salagi, years ago, and I'm not sure from who, I heard a phrase to the effect that the worst thing that can happen to a BS'er is that they start believing their BS. One of the "benefits" of living in a very liberal state is I see a certain mindset with great frequency.

Many of these types truly, honestly believe that conservatives are among the most backward-thinking, intellectually deficient creatures on the planet. With some of the obvious displays of "stepping in it" we're seeing that hubris playing out over and over.

Some of the deception IS painfully obvious; their disdain for us is so great they delude themselves into thinking only they in their infinite wisdom and worldly knowledge would ever spot it. In some cases I'd go as far as to say it is astonishment they feel when caught by the barnyard rubes here.

They don't come here to legitimately argue their world view because, quite simply, they have no skills in defending a position. Remember, for many years they've grown up in a world that was their own personal echo chamber. The MSM never digs deeply into liberal factoids; one only need research the MSM's opining about Benghazi, F&F, etc to realize that.

It's created a rather large false sense of security in some of the trolls we've seen here. Sometimes I almost feel sorry for them seeing how quickly the wheels come off their cabooses. Sometimes......

Bingo! For many years I have enjoyed the salmon and steelhead fishing in upstate NY. Over the past 4-5 years I've seen an increasing amount of shore fisherman and waders in some areas that you really need a driftboat to fish effectively. When I remarked about this to the guide I use he told me that he now is very careful about where & how he takes pictures for his clients of their catches due to people doing google searches of posted pictures to discover the "honey holes."

I don't know how many of you have played around with them but there are some sites where you can get not only aerial views of an area but "birds-eye" views. Let me tell you the level of detail in that version is really something. I've used this feature for looking for edges and terrain features and actually been able to clearly identify deer trails!

So, yes, if you have found the hunting equivalent of Shangri-La do not post pics!!
