Recent taxidermy from a special animal

A completely unrelated post got me thinking about some animals that have been posted on Bowsite and I don't remember seeing the taxidermy pictures.
I really like looking at pictures of hunters with their animals, but I like to see the taxidermy as well.
The thing that got me thinking about it was Pat's recent phenomenal white tail season where he took two amazing bucks coupled with great stories of the hunt. Was it two years ago? Three? I still haven't seen these bucks mounted and I know I'm just some guy, but I'd really like to see them and I bet there's a bunch of other guys that would too.
That led me to thinking about it and there's been a boat load of really great animals taken by Bowsiters over the past few years that I don't recall seeing any follow up on.
It doesn't matter if you didn't full/shoulder mount it. Euro and horn mounts are great to look at too and provider a different perspective on the animal than a dead animal picture.
One animal that comes to mind is Marvin's incredible buck. How bout Hunter's huge bull from a few years ago or Nick's beast of a spot-and-stock caribou? I've snuck into Nick's back yard and walked off with contents of his woodshed and I haven't seen that caribou since the kill picture. Zack has taken a bunch of world-class animals in the past few years that I'd love to see the taxidermy from, as has Jim Willems and a bunch of other guys.
There's a slew of sheep that have died over the past few years as well. I haven't seen the taxidermy on basically any of them.
I believe that a lot of guys don't want to appear self-aggrandizing, but I want to see these animals and I know there's a boat load of other guys on Bowsite that also like looking at not only dead animals, but taxidermy as well.
Let's see them! If you've killed an animal in the last several years that was a special animal in any way and the animal's taxidermy has not made it on to Bowsite, post it up! Feel free to go the extra mile and post or repost the picture from the day of the kill.
Marvin has posted pics of that incredible buck on Bowsite. And then there's this year amazing muley!!
He has, but I haven't seen the mount...
I don’t see how posting a pic of a mount could be considered any more self-aggrandizing than having it on your wall, and it’s certainly no different from a hero shot in the field...
Except that you can’t long-arm it when it’s on the wall ;)
I would rather see the taxidermy myself; nobody ever has them mounted with glazed eyes, bloated bellies, blood smeared all over and the tongue hanging out, so you get a better/more realistic appreciation of the animal without all the distractions....
So I’m with Ike - bring ‘em on!
Some taxidermy pictures posted will get the topic closed. There are taxidermy sponsors here that get the priority.
He has posted pics of the mount, but I sure don’t mind seeing them again :)
Keith: Idyll is not asking taxidermists to promote their business. He’s asking bow hunters to post pictures of their Recent trophies.
If interested I usually click on a guys handle to see his trophy pics.
Here you go Ike! Likely never shoot one this big again, but I’ve been trying!
What a bull. The velvet looks well done also.
I agree with Ike, I try to go back and include the mount after I do the bowsite write-up. Gives it another excuse to bring it up to the top for others to see it. Although this year's will be a lot less "horny" when I get to it :)
Original moss - was TOO Green so quickly changed it and added leaves and small cedars and fern.

well thanks for giving me a platform for showing my BOAL, shot in NJ of all places last year. 166 4/8 gross, 155 7/8" net - scored by SHUG another bowsite member and friend. I have a lot of shoulder mounts on the wall, but this one had to be different so I wanted a pedestal mount. The buck came from Eastern Red Cedar where he spent much of his life hiding. I have plenty of dead cedar logs to make base out of, and ordered a red cedar octagon pedestal from "The Taxidermy Woodshop". The form is a Mears PD-74, left turn because it exactly replicates his pose as I released the arrow. I ordered my own habitat and cut my own cedar post and put it all together myself, and am very pleased with how it came out.
The Mears PD-74, I highly recommend as a pedestal mount. Get those skin wrinkles in there and love the pose.
Those are amazing animals and mounts. You should be proud to show them off. Thanks
Definitely, beautiful mounts Jack and Nick!!! Fantastic pedestal as well Jack. Great job.
Charlie, I understand your comment. However, the last couple times I've posted pictures of animals, some personal and some not, whereas it also happens to be my profession, though I am not promoting myself, the thread is closed down shortly after. Coincidence... maybe, maybe not.
Your mount turned out great, Jack!
Beautiful caribou as well, Nick! How did you preserve the velvet on him?
I don’t do any but euros anymore. This bull is special because I got him 300yds from my truck in a high pressure OTC unit.
The image genie screwed me again. Can’t rotate the pic
"The image genie screwed me again. Can’t rotate the pic" - yep and I started a post about this, hoping Pat can finally fix this. Also it's about time we have ability to select multiple pics in "one shot" ! It's 2020
My best recurve whitetail.
I like to see others mounts and I don’t mind sharing. This buck is from 2018... SE Oklahoma.

My Colorado Shira's moose. It's about the only trophy I don't have a good field photo of. The slope it fell on was so steep, we couldn't position it. At one point, while trying to move it, it flipped over and an antler tine caught in my pant cuff and flipped me up in the air.
Particulars depend on who you believe.
Original width and score: 54 5/8, 180 3/8
P&Y panel width and score: 54 0/8, 176 0/8
B&C panel width and score: 54 5/8, 180 3/8
I want to move in with Roy :)
The two on the left belong to Kia and the two on the right belong to me :)

Ike, Per your original post, here's the mount on the buck you requested. I did actually post it on Bowsite when I received the official score and age (see link for that thread and additional photos). One of my favorite things about this buck were the "L" shaped cheaters coming off of the G-3 on both sides of this buck, and I was excited to find and take another big buck this year that had those same "L" shaped cheaters coming off in the same place on each side as this buck, even though they were taken too far a distance apart from each other to have been related.
Marvin
Wow. Awesome mounts guys. Thanks for sharing.
Brotsky what does that pig of a whitetail score? He's gorgeous!
I'd love to see your WR lope mount Marvin.
A nice moose with a bow was always tops on my list

Your sheep looks great, Zack!
I get a smile on my face every time I look up at him.
That’s an awesome bull mount T-Roy! Would love to have one just like it one day.
Awesome mounts everyone! Wow is all I can say.
t-roy...What is great is the "company" Zack keeps. :) Great stuff guys.
Wow Zack. Is that a stone? So lightly colored. Beautiful animal. I may steal your mount and use on my Dall
kota, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how anyone could celebrate such a magnificent animal with a Coors Light? :)
I’ll post this but just so everyone is clear this buck is a gun kill. Besides this being my best buck by far, the interesting thing is that I bought the ground where I killed this deer one month before I shot him. The location of my property is in the general area where I have hunted my entire life but in the first month of ownership I killed a decent 8 pt bow hunting and then this guy with a gun. My dad also bow killed a nice 8 on his very first hunt on the place. I got the big deer on camera a couple days before I killed him. Even posted a few of those pics on here and some people said they were photoshopped:)
Seems that I’ve forgotten how to edit. I don’t post much.

Some world-class critters here and some fabulous mounts. Congratulations all around.
Have been considering pursuing a Fannin and was wondering if I’d want a full mount if successful. Thanks Zack for answering that question loud and clear.
As an easterner, Bowhunting Muleys is a special treat - after looking at this thread I’m trying to put my eyes back in.

Stickflicker I answered by own question! See link
FYI..I want a link on the P&Y webpage with my world record someday!
John, the photo of the mount used to be P&Y's logo, appearing on each page of the website, but it was retired when they redesigned the website a few years ago. The buck actually officially scored 92 2/8, but P&Y used to have a rule that permanently penalized the score of animals that were entered larger than the world record. Although they have fairly recently changed the rules to avoid the penalty for animals taken now, they did nothing to undo the penalty for those animals taken before the rule change.
Stick flicker that’s an amazing animal. What rule is that?
